The date when television goes all digital has changed Will Your Wireless Mic work?

By law, full-power television stations nationwide must begin broadcasting exclusively in a digital format by June 12, 2009. The U.S. Congress approved an extension of the deadline, which was originally set for February 17. The extension was vetoed in the 1st session but was later passed in the Full session.

So on June 12, 2009 all full power analog TV transmission is scheduled to cease. Digital TV broadcasts will be consolidated below channels 52. Channels 52-69 (698 - 806 MHz), generically called the 700MHz band, will be reallocated to public emergency broadcast and telecom companies. The FCC will prohibit the use of wireless microphones in this range in the near future, perhaps as early as February 17th.

This means we all have some time to exchange those DJ mics and Lavileer mics in the 698 to 806 MHZ range

Irionically The Audio technica Pro series and ATW series mics are ALL SAFE they operate in the 100 to 500 mhz range

BUT The Samson Mics we have are in DANGER so check your model number and make sure the frequency does not fall between 698 and 806 mhz.
